Decidedly weirder and more eclectic than any other Descendents album, 1986’s Enjoy! merges the SoCal quartet’s early youthful hardcore sound (“Kids”) with bruised-ego pop-punk (“Sour Grapes”), potty-humor funk-punk (“Enjoy!”), metal-lampooning rippers (“Hürtin’ Crüe”) and an earnest-and-amped-up cover of the Beach Boys’ “Wendy.” Powered by a million carafes of coffee, seething sarcasm and punk chops, Enjoy! has been repressed on this tasty slab of “wild cherry”-colored vinyl.
