GODFLESH 'STREETCLEANER' LP

A depressive and damned heavy feat from the English industrial-metal masters, 1989’s Streetcleaner still staggers. Driven by former Napalm Death member Justin K. Broadrick and fellow Godflesh co-founder G.C. Green, the project’s overwhelmingly bleak Streetcleaner stokes the speakers with acrid plumes guitar noise, world-weary growls and menacing mechano-beats. It features genre classics “Like Rats” and “Christbait Rising,” songs still adored by fans around the world — including HEALTH, who sampled both songs for their own industrial oeuvre.
